Not necessarily. Some greenhouses come supplied with a base plinth which can be installed directly onto soil and anchored at each corner with post mix.
Although slightly more expensive we highly recommend full sheet toughened glass. Not only is it much stronger but is also much easier to keep clean as there is no overlap which you get with horti glass.
